Compiled by DJ Photon, dancing since 1986 ; djing since 1999.This is the tenth magazine and seventh promo CD and this one offers something for everyone with a bit of celtic trancey dub, two progressive tunes, four seriously fat psychedelic darkish or nightime tunes and three more morning-styled tunes. Its hard, funky and psychedelic, exactly how I like to DJ - when I get the chance. This could be the chunkiest CD around at the moment. The variation I think makes it a more interesting listen than most CDs, but yep it has got some seriously tasty tunes to move any dancefloor for any DJs out there. At its price and with a magazine as well, Im hoping that more of you will buy it this time so that it can continue. The magazine is shaping up to be one which dives into the inky black-white depths of spirituality. Theres stuff in here you really should read!Articles about the basis of the universe; tai chi, the yin-yang, form and emptiness, meditation and buddhism, a report from the world psychedelic forum, piece on alpha omega in London and interviews with loads of artists. It is a fraction of other CDs price and comes tantalisingly with 3 dub or deep progressive tracks, 4 nighttime and 3 more morning sound, although most could be played early nighttime. 8 unreleased gems. Suns of Arqa have worked with many of dancemusics legends and introduce you to the comp with a remix of a swirly, trancey, indian-hued dub number, Beat Bizarre then gets things moving with a fat progressive bassline, Finlands Troll Scientists funky echoing synth sounds will have you wanting to be on a psychedelic dancefloor. Then things take a harder darker turn with Wizack Twizacks remix of Sienis - rocking! Electric Mirror and Miss Sinister creep up on you and leave you flailing around, Tron gets things grooving, this is a very solid track, Journey adds a bit of techno depth, M-Theorys Japanese zen sample, heavy bassline and oscillating sounds push all the right buttons, Alternative Control welcome the morning in a very big way - check this out and Tegma round things off superbly with a progressive tune tinged with acid house suming up where DJ Photon started out after rare groove, chicago house and early early detroit techno. This CD is just so fat, the masterer Jamie Moonweed aka Salamander has done a great job!Yep, chunkier than a chunky Kit-Kat, more bollocks than a man with elephantitis, a full breakfast dripping in lard leaving you fatter than Jabba the hutt! You are going to love getting your teeth into this CD. ; )Lard it up!Photon
