Details

Duo Varial is the meeting between Gregg (DJ) and Olivier Cima (guitar). Gregg is a DJ who likes listening small sequences of music. When he finds a passage that he likes, he cuts it and makes a sticking. Of course, one of its favourite hobbies is to let his friends listen any kind of records. Gregg uses his record desks as a way to express since the age of 14. With a very rich path, he became famous in 97 with the breakdance group NBS, worldwide esteemed in hip hop events, for which he will compose several titles of their dance shows. One day, he met on his way Olivier... Olivier Cima started playing guitar at the age of 14. His heteroclite taste for music brings him to varied plans going from jazz to metal funk. His path is reflected in his Latino tones play to which he loves to give blues, jazz, rock or funky accents. In this first album, Duo Varial was able to surround with renowned guests; Sandrine Collard (Belgian actress and singer, whom first album went out by EMI), Enaid who accompanies them on stage, Julie or Djerom (with whom Gregg created the label Loulourecords) to re-dynamite the trip-hop genre. Theirs compositions dive into a deep soul and funky colour full of lounge, hip hop, drumnbass and jazzy tracks... On stage, the group already appeared at the Tribus Urbaines in Brussels, at the Polyphonic-Cafe, at the International Festival of Francophone Film, at the Fetes de Wallony in Namur...
