Since the 1980s, Tsunoda has beenworking as a vocal and guitarist in alternative rock bands. In 1998, as a guitarist he joined the unit of DJ Tsuyoshi, 'Joujouka' where he still operates as a computer manipulator. He started his DJ career at the same time, appearing at many Japanese events and festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival. He actively performs overseas especially in Asian countries. He is not held back by genre and mixes trance, techno, house and rock as well as aims to create a new type of Funk-Psychedelic Dance Music. He also shows a very unique performance with his avantgarde style of playing the guitar while DJing. He continues to create tracks and remixes as well and in 2010 he released the long awaited first solo album 'Blow' touring over 20 venues, expanding his audience. In the recent years he has been actively doing remix works, such as Ace Ventura and Symbolic's 'Prime Time Joujouka Remix' (Iboga Records), Captain Hook and Perfect Stranger 'Perfect Hook Joujouka Remix. In addition he worked on diverse collaborations, like thetrack 'Funky Gong' on the album 'UP' released in 2011 withr enowned UK guitarist Steve Hillage as Gong- System7. With whom he also later performed Live in March 2015 at Ageha, Tokyo. In November 2015, Funky Gong's Long awaited 2nd Album 'Beyond The Light' has been released. This work combines a variety of musical elements, depicting Funky Gong's musical world.
