Details

For more than 10 years, Holeg of Spies has been performing on the international electronic scene. Based in France, he is well known for his unclassifiable, as destabilizing as possible hybrid style. First as a Dj and then, as a composer, Holeg has basically worked in Europe with releases on Atomic, Aurinko, Transient, Etnicanet and Polygram to name a few. Then, since 1996, he has been expanding his work to Japan thanks to Juno Reactor. Unclassifiable once again, Holeg and the Spies successfully achieves its aim to combine the more disparate elements of its author's sonic culture, a sure mixing of unbridled experimentations, mastered industrial and techno reminiscences. This double cd presents the new chapter of Holeg and the Spies productions with some exclusive cooperations (Tim Schuldt, Mimetic, Von Magnet, Shaolin Wooden Men), and a new edition of Spies - Notinism - album with new mixes and remixes. In Notinism e-guitars and breakbeats coexist peacefully beside tribal rhythms and noise loops, ending up in a very tight in a virtual soundtrack that could be used without a doubt for the third part of "Matrix". With the adventourous journey between all the different music-styles and the perfect combination of atmospheric and dance sounds, "Notinism" reminds us not accidentally on the last album of Juno Reactor.
