Stereo Hypnosis - Hvolf

Hvolf is the new album by Icelandic band Stereo Hypnosis, out on Canadian downtempo label Interchill October 8 2021 on limited CD. The tracks were recorded and mixed in Reykjavik in 2020. They have a distinct and refreshing edge, and arrangements that get quickly to the essence of each track. The album speaks of Iceland’s rich natural world, beautiful open spaces, myth and mystery, long winters and patience, and an almost obsessive devotion to high quality audio. There's a cinematic and epic quality to this music, and the band perform their material live. Hvolf is an album that reflects a people and a place, and clearly stands out from the noise. Two digital only singles, Barur and Hvarf are accompanied by remixes from Hibernation and also Greg Hunter.
